A week after a successful Feeding the 5000 event in New York City, organizers brought the campaign to Washington DC, serving paella for 5,000 prepared entirely from top-quality ingredients that would have otherwise been wasted. The Feeding the 5000 campaign was created to draw attention to the global food waste dilemma, and to inspire businesses, policymakers and members of the public implement solutions to the problem.
